December 2023 Community Projects by IWC Bombay Queens Tiara
Monthly Animal Welfare Feeding Project (Project 41) On December 4th, IWC Bombay Queens Tiara continued its commitment to animal welfare by conducting a feeding project for 500 cows at Shree Sanjeevni Sau Seva Samiti in Mumbai. With a budget of INR 1,000, this initiative ensured the well-being and sustenance of the animals, reflecting the club's ongoing dedication to supporting the local community and its furry inhabitants.
Food Distribution for well being at Anandashram Varakari Shikshan Sanstha (Project 42) Kavita Waghani, our club President sponcered a food distribution initiative on December 16th, benefiting 20 individuals at Anandashram Varakari Shikshan Sanstha in Raigad. With a budget of INR 2,000, the project provided nourishing meals to the beneficiaries, contributing to their well-being and fulfilling their dietary needs.
Education and Nutrition Support for Kavle Matt School (Project 43 and 44) On December 22nd, IWC Bombay Queens Tiara members provided comprehensive support to Kavle Matt School in Mumbai. This included education support for 150 students with a fund of INR 16,763, nutrition assistance with INR 15,000 benefiting 150 students, and blanket distribution to teachers, staff, and students with a fund of INR 26,250. These initiatives underscore the club's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and ensuring the holistic well-being of the school community of Marathi medium.
Mental Health Awareness Workshops with ABET (Project 45,46,47,48,49,50,51,52) Throughout December 12th, the club organized a series of mental health awareness workshops in various schools across Mumbai in collaboration with ABET. Workshops were conducted at NM Joshi School, Dr. Babasaheb School, Ganpatroa Kadam Marg, Elphinstone MCGM School, Love Grove Pumping School, Prabhadevi MPS, and Khedgully MPS, benefiting a total of 643 students from 7th and 8th grades. worth INR 15,000 each in collaboration with Aditya Birla Education Trust, these workshops aimed to raise awareness about mental health issues and provide necessary support and guidance to students, fostering a healthier and more supportive school environment. This was with support of the MOU for the centurion term with the club and ABET.
